Finney Policy & Procedures
The following is the policy and procedure for the Finney County District Court Clerk's Office.
Processing Pleadings
Pleadings received at the front counter after 4 pm will not be processed until the next business day.
Access to Clerk's Office
Access to the Clerk's Office is limited to District Court personnel. All other persons are denied access until a request is made at the counter of what they need or with whom they need to speak. At that time, it will be determined if access is granted or if the Clerk's Office can handle the request without giving access to the office.
Documents for Judges
All documents for judges should be hand delivered to the judge's secretary or to the Clerk's Office or may be mailed to the Clerk's Office.
Public Access Computers
Computers for searching public records are located in the lobby across from the Clerk's windows.
Fees
Copy Fee
A minimum fee of $1 will be assessed for making 1 to 4 copies. An additional $0.25 will be assessed for each copy made beyond the minimum fee charge. The Clerk's Office has three business days to comply with the copy request.
Certification Fee
A fee of $1 per certified document.
Microfilm Fee
A minimum fee of $1 will be assessed for making 1 to 4 copies. An additional $0.25 will be assessed for each copy made beyond the minimum fee charge.
Requests for Information
Any requests for information may be made by telephone, in person, in writing, or by fax. The Clerk's Office will have three business days to respond to such request.
